Goodbye Emma

It is with a heavy but peaceful heart that I want to let you know that Emma is finally comfortable and happy.  She passed on this afternoon without pain in her parentís arms, with the sun shining and the wind blowing through the trees.  Emma was an inspiration to me, as I know she was to many others, and I feel incredible gratitude that I was able to know her.  The last 4 Ω months have been the best months of my life. 

Weíll pass on details in the next few days, when we feel weíre ready.  Thank you for all of the kindness and support weíve received through this adventure.

I don’t have any words to tell you guys how I feel. I am so sorry for your loss. It is so bittersweet because I think Emma is in a better place. I just wish we all got to know her first. Please let me know if you guys need anything.

OMG, this completely breaks our hearts. Our hearts are totally with you, and we just want to hug you both so hard right now.

Emma friggin ROCKED and was AWESOME and so darn CUTE and so WONDERFUL. She is not only an inspiration to you, but to all of us. Her battle moved us all and her legacy will make us all better people and she will have made the world a better place for what she did during her brief but powerful visit.

PLEASE!!! let me know if there is anything Vanessa or I can do. I so want to call you, but I don’t want to force you to live this again. And please give Ella a great big squeeze and kiss from both of us, because our love is with her, too.

in her short time here, emma taught us all what it means to be strong, what it means to be a fighter.  she touched lives of people who were not even fortunate enough to meet her.  

she was the luckiest baby to have you guys as parents – i know she felt nothing but love.  i hope you feel nothing but love as well – we are all here for you.

I am so very sorry…  Even as I’m glad her struggle is over.  She tried so hard!!  Life was never meant to be this hard, Emma.  Take all this love with you.
